The Evidence Bible

I am so excited!  I just got this with some of my birthday money.  It came in the mail today, and I am so excited.  It has some awesomely great tools for witnessing to people about Christ.  I found it on  This is a web site by Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort, and they have information there about witnessing to people, tools and ideas, how to answer questions, etc.  I CAN'T WAIT TO DIG IN!

You should check out their web site.  They have a quiz you can take about the ten commandments.  I failed every one of the questions.  Ouch!

Things I Love — Top Ten

Heart glitterHeartsHeart glitterHeartsHeart glitter

Top Ten things I Love:

1.  Okay, there are the obvious ones, Lord Jesus, husband, children, mom, dad, sister, friends, but I want to write about other fun things I love too, far less than I love all of the above, but still love.

2.  Clean Sheet day!  LOVE IT!

3.  My dog Ruby — she is hysterical, needy, clingy, codependent, funny!  I was talking to her last night, and one of the kids says "why do you talk to her, she can't understand you."  So I said, "watch this."  "Ruby you want to go bye bye."  She heads for the door howling — um yah, don't tell me she can't understand me!  lol

4.  Pepsi – and yes, I know all the bad health effects on my body, but please I don't want to hear about them yet again!  🙂

5.  My Bible — oh yah — God's word is food for my soul!

6.  Those big old style bathtubs, filled all the way full and soak and soak while I have worship music on…..nice.

7.  The taco truck — oh my goodness.  If you've never had the taco truck, you are missing out!  They are inexpensive and YUM-O!  (I'm eating a beef taco right now — and oh my goodness, SO GOOD!)

8.  When I get the house to myself.  Last Friday Joe called me and said he and the boys were going to the game, and our youngest was going to a friends.  I did the happy dance all the while saying "but I'll miss you!"  hee hee shhhhhh We have four teenagers in the house that I love dearly, but when I get the house to myself, and can watch whatever I want on tv, eat what I want for dinner, and have quiet!  ummm hello!  (it happens very rarely — I think twice in 1 1/2 years!)

9.  San Diego!  Man I wanna go back — so much fun in the sun, plus my tan is fading!

10.  My job!  Yes, I said my job!  Opportunities for minstering to people has totally opened up in that area, and I just simply love it.  Now keep in mind, I know that my identity is in Christ, so if I lost this job I would be sad, but I would be okay, but I really love doing what I do.  I would hope so after having done it now for 20 years!  Wow!

Thank you Lord for all the blessings in my life — You are so good, and You never change — in the good times and in the bad times I will praise You!

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Today is my Mom's birthday!  Happy Birthday Mom!  My Mom is the greatest mother that anyone could ask for.  My Mom has loved me through the good, the bad and the ugly.  My Mom is a praying Mom, and man a powerful praying mom.  Thank you Mom for praying for me, for loving me when I couldn't love myself, for being there in all the seasons of my life.  Thank you for being such a GREAT Nanny to Hannah — she absolutely adores you!  I don't know what I would do without you Mom, and if I could have chosen a Mom myself, I would have chosen you.  You are such an inspiration to me, and I'm so proud of you!  Happy Birthday!!!  I love you!!!

Beauty For Ashes? Update

Talked to Joe's other sister yesterday, and praise God their insurance said that they can rebuild and have the same house if they wanted to — its covered!  In addition, her husband had gotten paid for a job and had left the cash in the house in a drawer — he went to the drawer and it (money) was still intact.

Her work also pulled together and gave her a substantial sum of cash to help them get back on their feet also.  God is totally revealing Himself through all this.  They are holding up well so far, and from what I've heard are staying quite upbeat.  So thank you Lord.

We've invited them to come on Sunday, so am believing God for that.  Thank you all for your prayers for them.  I stopped by the house last night after visiting his other sister, and was astounded, and continue to be astounded by the devastation.

My father was a fire fighter while I was growing up, and I'm sure he saw plenty of this, but I never have.  Nothing quite like that.  Blows my mind at how powerful fire is.  Blessings and love to you all.

Beauty for Ashes? Devastation

Fire 1Fire 6Fire 7Fire 8Fire 2Fire 3Fire 4

Please pray for Joe's sister, husband and 2 boys.  This is what we watched helplessly yesterday as everything they had worked for their entire lives went up in flames.  We had heard that they think that it was started by a heat lamp that was used to keep the dog warm.   Total devastation.  Nothing was salvageable.  We are praying that God can use this for His glory.  Please pray in agreement with us for salvations, beauty for ashes in the midst of all of this.  They also need prayer for the grief process, and the right people to come along in their paths for a smooth transition.  The next few weeks are going to be challenging for them.  I have asked them what they need, and at this point they do not know.  We know they have insurance.  Please keep them in your prayers.  Thank you.  With love, Michele & Joe

Interstate Battery Commercial

This is a commercial by Interstate Battery — trying to send a message about God's love.  Awesome!  I'm sure he's being criticized for doing it — but good for him — go against the grain, go against what's popular, get the message out of Jesus Christ!  This will take 1 min and 18 secs to watch — take the time, very cool!

Leonard Weaver – Seattle Seahawks

Tonight I went to this.  All I have to say is "WOW."  WOW WOW WOW.  Leonard Weaver is an amazing man of God, with a testimony that would lead anyone to Christ, and a powerful delivery.  God is using this man in a mighty way, and he knows who he is in Christ and what his purpose is on this earth — to reach the lost for Jesus.  Wow.

There was a huge alter call for salvations, and many got saved tonight.  The worship was amazing too!  There were a lot of people who were there just to see the Seahawk, but they saw Jesus.  There was a young boy, probably 8 years old, after the alter call and everyone had gone back to their seats, he was clinging to Leonard and weeping as his buddies watched.  (*note, I just found out from one of the pastors in charge last night that this little boy gave his life to Christ for the first time!  The boy wanted to make sure his heart was right, and that he wasn't doing it just because of Leonard Weaver.  Wow!)   I was blown away at what the Lord was doing at this church in Sultan — so full at this point that it is standing room only and people are spilling over into the parking lot.  While I was watching Mr. Weaver with the young kids it made me think of when the children would come to Jesus — they flocked to Him.  They flocked to Jesus in Leonard Weaver tonight.

I'm truly so blown away.  What the Lord did in me tonight is something I really needed.  To remember from where He brought me.  I've never forgot, but through the trials and tribulations and life, it was not in the forefront of my mind.  The Lord brought it back to me tonight like it was just yesterday when He redeemed me from the lost life I was leading.  I am so thankful for my life in Christ today — so thankful He saved me from a life filled full of sin, rebellion, and just plain yuck.  Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for me — I did not deserve it, but yet you found compassion on me while I was in my sin — steeped in my sin — and died for me so that I could live, so I could have relationship with you, so that I could have forgiveness.  I love you Lord.  Thank you thank you thank you.

Those who have been forgiven much — love much.
