Tonight I went to this. All I have to say is "WOW." WOW WOW WOW. Leonard Weaver is an amazing man of God, with a testimony that would lead anyone to Christ, and a powerful delivery. God is using this man in a mighty way, and he knows who he is in Christ and what his purpose is on this earth — to reach the lost for Jesus. Wow.
There was a huge alter call for salvations, and many got saved tonight. The worship was amazing too! There were a lot of people who were there just to see the Seahawk, but they saw Jesus. There was a young boy, probably 8 years old, after the alter call and everyone had gone back to their seats, he was clinging to Leonard and weeping as his buddies watched. (*note, I just found out from one of the pastors in charge last night that this little boy gave his life to Christ for the first time! The boy wanted to make sure his heart was right, and that he wasn't doing it just because of Leonard Weaver. Wow!) I was blown away at what the Lord was doing at this church in Sultan — so full at this point that it is standing room only and people are spilling over into the parking lot. While I was watching Mr. Weaver with the young kids it made me think of when the children would come to Jesus — they flocked to Him. They flocked to Jesus in Leonard Weaver tonight.
I'm truly so blown away. What the Lord did in me tonight is something I really needed. To remember from where He brought me. I've never forgot, but through the trials and tribulations and life, it was not in the forefront of my mind. The Lord brought it back to me tonight like it was just yesterday when He redeemed me from the lost life I was leading. I am so thankful for my life in Christ today — so thankful He saved me from a life filled full of sin, rebellion, and just plain yuck. Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for me — I did not deserve it, but yet you found compassion on me while I was in my sin — steeped in my sin — and died for me so that I could live, so I could have relationship with you, so that I could have forgiveness. I love you Lord. Thank you thank you thank you.
Those who have been forgiven much — love much.
